The Crisis Food Cabinet (CFC)--

 

Provides emergency basic food supplies to individuals or families who are in a crisis situation.

Food rations are given based on the assessment of either an individual's needs or the size of a family.

The amount dispersed doesn't exceed a total of 3 to 5 days.

Unfortunately, assistance can only be provided to individuals or families once every six months.

Our ability to provide assistance is always based on the funding available.

However, referrals to other charitable organizations are always provided.

OUR ANNUAL THANKSGIVING PROJECT--

(This project is very dear to our heart)

 

Every year POM provides Thanksgiving Food to needy families in our community to prepare in their homes.

Each family receives a Turkey, Green Beans or Peas, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Cranberry Sauce and Stuffing.

(Our ability to provide everything on the menu is always based solely upon the amount of funding available.)

 

The Single Mother's Assistance Resource

Training Center--(THE SMART CTR.) 

 

This program was initially created to assist children of low-income families

by providing school supplies directly to them for their child, or children.

*The program has now been restructured where every new school year we partner with a school

to periodically provide supplies or snacks based on recommendations we receive

 or based on the list provided to area stores (i.e., Walmart) before the school year starts.

(All donations are made possible based on the amount of funding available!)

Sick & Shut-in/Bereavement Visitation--

This community outreach program reaches out to the hospitalized by showing God's love through our visitations.

We always leave a card to help brighten the patient's day or to comfort the bereaved. On occasion we provide

hot meals purchased from a local store or restaurant to feed the seriously ill recuperating at home and

for the elderly sick and shut-in living alone.
